• Start to plan early 2 years to 18 months is OK

• Investigate funding and fundraising and plan the trip within the scope of the group and individuals concerned
• Involve Parents and Scouts at an early stage
• Delegate Jobs to other Leaders and Parents
• Get the Support and backing of your DC
• Remember to Copy all passports and travel documents it makes dealing with lost documents much easier
• Remember your Travel Insurance.
• Hold regular Briefings
• Have a Great Time

• Leave it all to the last moment
• Ignore offers of help and advice
• Forget to budget for emergencies and unforeseen circumstances
• Ignore Concerns of parents
• GIVE UP
