About Network

What's it all about

Scout Network is the new section in Scouting for all 18 to 25 year olds. All full members of the Movement will automatically become members of Scout Network when they are 18. A young person can join the Network any time after they reach 17½. This means friends can move on to Network together when the time is appropriate. You could be:-

• a member of a local Network
• a Leader with another Section
• a Helper of Skills Instructor
• a member of the Scout Fellowship
• a member in another capacity

Although Explorer Scouts and Network share the same Awards, Scout Network is quite different from all the other Sections. There are no Leaders within Local Networks, which are run by the members for the members and will be encouraged to organise their structure in a way that suits their local situation.
