Moving on
Network Members
When you reach the age of 25, you may no longer be a member of Network, so what now? This will depend on whether you are a warranted leader in a section, because if you are, you may be content with that and no longer participate in the activities and social aspects of membership, but whatever, you are no longer able to participate in the Awards scheme and your Queen's Scout, Explorer Belt and Duke of Edinburgh's Awards all have to terminate at this time, so make sure you get it done if you have started.
For warranted leaders and members who still wish to participate in activities, you now have to join Fellowship, so turn to the Fellowship section, and register online, just as you did when you joined Network, and you have completed the first step. Your Network County CRB will still be good in Fellowship, provided that you have registered on-line, as you are joining the County Fellowship group.
Fellowship has unfortunately become associated with older members who make the tea at events, and help out at camps and training sessions. While these people do a wonderful job and deserve all the praise we can give them, that is only one aspect of Fellowship. Fellowship in fact, runs an activity programme of monthly meetings as we speak in which you are able to take part, and once registered with County Fellowship, there is no reason why you cannot continue to meet with your old Network group as well, if you wish.
There are moves afoot, we are told, to change the name of Fellowship at some time in the future, to better reflect the more modern image of this group, but we still await details of this. More on this as information becomes available.
Membership of Scouting does not come to a halt at 25, it goes on .... enjoy !!
